Small Groups

Small groups are the heartbeat of our church…the place where you’ll experience uncommon community, the place vital to growing in your relationship with Jesus. Because in the end, we weren’t meant to do life alone.

Our small groups are the primary pathway for you to build relationships with others at Harvest, to be cared for, to use your spiritual gifts, and to grow in your walk with Christ. A typical small group meeting consists of a time of Bible study, prayer, mutual ministry time (men with men, women with women) and fellowship. The biblical curriculum is common to all groups and is usually based on the weekend teaching. Small Group times are approximately two hours in length.

These groups meet evenings in host couples’ homes, three times per month. Current groups are meeting Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Ventura, and Tuesdays and Thursdays in Camarillo. Our Wednesday night small groups that meet on campus in Ventura also provide childcare.

Harvest Bible Chapel is committed to passing on the truth of God’s Word to the next generation.

Our goal at Harvest Kids is to show our children
the Greatness of God and the Greatness of the Gospel.

We desire for children to KNOW Jesus, GROW in Jesus and to SHOW Jesus to the world around them. Kids will experience the love of Christ through the caring volunteers, a safe environment in which to play and learn, and age-appropriate classroom activities designed to point them to Christ. Harvest Kids is a dynamic program consisting of classrooms for Nursery (birth – 36 months) , PreK & Kindergarten (age 3 yrs.-6 yrs.), and Elementary (1st grade – 6th grade). through 6th grade.

During each weekend service, we offer your child the opportunity to learn the truth of Scripture and how to apply it to their lives. Class time includes a time of Christ-centered worship, a large group creative and  interactive teaching time, fun games and a time in small groups. These small groups focus on life application of the lesson, prayer and Scripture memory.

Women’s ministry

“Women together hearing and following God’s voice, spurring one another on in joyful obedience to the word.”

Women’s Ministry exists to equip women to grow in their understanding of God’s Word and biblical womanhood, as well as joyfully live out these truths in their lives by God’s grace and for His glory.

We are women who desire to grow in our faith and knowledge of our Creator, Lord, and Savior. Our focus this year is on God’s Word–studying it individually and corporately with both our hearts and our minds. Events throughout the year will focus on this theme and we invite women of all ages and stages to join us. Additional information can be found on the Harvest Women blog.

men’s ministry

The mission of Harvest Men’s Ministry is to biblically equip men to be spiritual leaders in their home, church, workplace, and community.

We accomplish this by affirming the command from God’s Word to make disciples of all nations by reaching them with the Gospel, exhorting men to pursue a love for and knowledge of God and His Word, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus Christ commanded. We will do life together in uncommon community as we teach men what it means to live out the Four Pillars of our church.
